Extracting DNA from animal sample types or plant cells often results in an unfavorable gDNA yield and purity for downstream applications. Differences in cell numbers for blood between animal species lead to a reduced yield. In plants, rigid cell walls must be lysed appropriately in order to expose the cytoplasm. Native DNA contaminants affect the quality of isolated DNA and can inhibit downstream enzymatic reactions.
Our EchoLUTION extraction technology involves a lysis step that is tailored to animal or plant sample types allowing for an efficient lysis and purification to avoid carryover of contaminants.
Particularly in experiments, where sensitivity is of high importance (such as qPCR with limited sample material), EchoLUTION-purified DNA outperforms results obtained with the silica-based technology.
- Up to fivefold more DNA yield than with silica-based kits
- No native DNA contaminants
- No toxic substances or chaotropic salts that inhibit downstream applications
Tedious bind–wash–elute procedures build a bottleneck in daily routines. Our EchoLUTION technology relies on single-step nucleic acid isolation within a one-minute centrifugation. Nucleic acids pass through the purification matrix without interaction, while impurities are held back and are completely removed. Different from the conventional silica-based bind–wash–elute nucleic acid extraction methods, EchoLUTION allows today’s fastest and simplest nucleic acid extraction with the highest purity.
“We use the EchoLUTION Plant DNA Kit to isolate high-quality DNA from large input samples of difficult tissues. Our previous protocol was challenging and time-consuming and with their innovative and flexible EchoLUTION technotogy, BioEcho enabled us to streamline and significantly shorten this process.”

“We used the BioEcho EchoLUTION Tissue DNA and Cell Culture DNA kits for extraction of genomic DNA from cultured cells and from fresh and stabilized human tissue. Both kits impressed with their simplicity, speed, and with stable and reproducible yields. Purified DNA could immediately be used for downstream applications, such as PCR.”
Wieland Fahr,
Department of Biotechnology, TU Braunschweig
“We are using BioEcho’s Tissue DNA Micro kit successfully and on a regular basis for DNA isolation from fish tissue samples.”
Jim Gardner,
University of Edinburgh
“We compared the EchoLUTION Plant DNA Kit with our established silica-technology based kit. Using the BioEcho kit we obtained genomic DNA in high yields much faster and easier than before. We were impressed about the simplicity of the whole process.”
Dr. Yang Yi,
Environment and Plant Protection Institute, Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences
“We at Advanced Identification Methods (AIM) are specialized in the analyses of the biodiversity of our environment using genomic methods. For example, we analyze bulk samples derived from insect traps and mixed plant, wood, and soil samples by extracting the total DNA from the biological samples and a subsequent identification of individuals present by DNA metabarcoding. We have thoroughly tested the EchoLUTION DNA extractions kits for animal tissue and plant materials and use these very successfully in our routine workflows. Besides the technical reliability of the kits, we like the sustainability approach of BioEcho a lot. Using their kits, we save a lot of plastic waste and don’t have any hazardous liquid waste anymore!”
